A worthy cause and meaningful advocacy unfolds on March 11, 2023, 9am onwards as the Student Executive Council of St. Therese-MTC Colleges Magdalo Site in partnership with the Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) – Nueva Valencia, Guimaras, together with other humanitarian organizations and volunteers held a coastal clean-up and outreach program for indigent children at Brgy. Cabalagnan and neighbouring communities in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.
The project’s advocacy tagline is: “Protect the oceans, protect the minds”, which conveys an expression of compassion for clean seas and inspires the less fortunate kids in the community. The volunteers worked hand-in-hand to clean coastal areas from trash and proceed with the outreach activity with the kids in Brgy. Cabalagnan. “Abyan ko Ikaw” and IXXIA Jewelry spearheaded by philanthropist, Theresa Guck, extended assistance to ensure the success of the activity.
